Rainwater can cause major problems for a septic system, in fact over time it can require you to have your system pumped out more frequently and can even clog the lines in your drainfield. We use "water stop cement" and silicone to prevent water infiltration and prolong the life of your septic. If you are getting alarms when it rains or having to pump your system frequently we can test to see if rainwater infiltration is a problem.
